Our milk bath soaks provide deep intense hydration, natural exfoliation, help balance skins' ph, and are soothing for sensitive skin by helping to protect and improve the skins barrier. We offer 4 different types of milk soak; buttermilk, coconut milk, goat's milk, & whole milk.
- Buttermilk has the most lactic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, so it's great for helping to brighten and smoothing skin.
- Coconut milk is a great vegan option and is packed with MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) called lauric acid. They are know for their anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Goat's milk has a higher fat content with lots of lactic acid. This makes it a better exfoliator and gives your bath a creamier feel.
- Whole Cow's Milk is the most commonly used milk providing the same skin benefits while also giving you the best skin feel.
We also use three different salts that help maintain moisture in the skin and further aid your relaxation efforts. Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, and Sea salt all help with detoxification and makes skin softer and smoother. They also help improve circulation, relax your muscles, and soothe irritated skin. Baking soda is a naturally occurring mineral salt with alkalizing properties that can help reduce itching and irritation of the skin.
Lastly, we add gluten free, whole grain oat flour and kaolin clay. Oats have long been valued for their ability to help keep the skin from losing excess water by creating a protective barrier. They also help soothe dry, itchy skin as well as reduces the itchiness found with some skin conditions or contact dermatitis. Kaolin clay is one of the mildest clays that helps to soothe and draw impurities out of the skin without over stripping it.
